NeSI & NIWA Software Carpentry Workshop in cool Welli

On 15th to 16th of November I attended Software Carpentry Workshop organised by the New Zealand eScience Infrastructure (NeSI) and NIWA. The workshop was designed to support scientific computing capability development. Software Carpentry's mission is to help scientists and engineers get more research done in less time and with less pain by teaching them basic lab skills for scientific computing. This hands-on workshop covered sessions:
  1. The Unix Shell
  2. Programming with Python
  3. Version Control with Git
  4. NeSI and getting started on an HPC

Was very practical workshop with great trainers about Best Practices of Scientific Computing.
